      Commercialisation of cutting-edge battery technology

      Overview

      An Israeli start-up company wanted to commercialise their cutting-edge aluminium battery technology for the first time globally.

      Our Approach

      We advised our client on establishing the right deal with Yunnan Aluminium, a Chinese State-Owned Enterprise and Shanghai Zuoyong New Energy Technology Company to develop and manufacture aluminium air batteries in China. We negotiated and executed the Joint Venture agreements, on and offshore entity creation and licences. To avoid any surprises, all elements had to be negotiated in parallel with the investment model.

       

      Value Created

      A unique model of collaboration was established, which enabled each party to fulfil its commercial objectives despite complex individual requirements. In addition, the final deal ensured that core intellectual property was protected throughout the commercialisation process and beyond.
